WALT: write the instructions on how to make a patu.

SC:

1. Each instruction must instruct one action.

2. Each instruction must start with a command verb i.e cut out, Sand, Put,

Make, Paint, Varnish…

3. Each instruction must be in sequence and understood by the reader.

Equipment Requirements.

Rasp File

Saw

Pellet wood

Mallet

Chise

Sand paper

Instructions:

1. Cut out a wood from the pellet wood.

2. Draw your outline for your patu.

3. Cut the design out on the wood.

4. Sharp it with the rasp file.

5. Use the whole drill to make holes for your gaps.

6. Cut around the holes with the handsaw.

7.  Weave your flax.

8. Drill your holes in.

9. Paint the patu what colours you want.

10. Paint the designs you want on the patu.

11. Put the weaved flax in the drilled hole.

12. Rasp file your hole that you drilled

13. Draw a design on your piece of paper.

14. Draw your design on your patu.

15.Paint your design on your patu.

16. Leave it to dry.
